Mary designed Pre-Primers I, II, and III in the Pecci Reading Series to help children AVOID these three traps and to successfully learn to read without a struggle. The series goes on to expand on this solid basic reading vocabulary foundation while maintaining 7 unique success factors detailed in the Pre-Primers. The Primer increases independent decoding skills by introducing the short and long vowel families with "e" on the end. The Reader completes the phonics code by introducing two vowels together and a COMPASS for independent reading.
